The Los Angeles City Attorney's Office is among the largest governmental legal offices in the nation. The City Attorney has both criminal and civil jurisdiction throughout the City of Los Angeles.

City Hall East houses the headquarters of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. From this central location, as well as several other locations citywide, the Deputies of the Office serve the City and residents of Los Angeles.

The City Attorney's Office handles more than 100,000 misdemeanor criminal cases a year. Deputy City Attorneys in the Criminal Division handle a wide variety of cases; all of which may result in jail sentences upon conviction.

Meet & Greet with Korea Daily Leadership Prep Program

City Attorney Carmen Trutanich met with students from the Korea Daily Leadership Prep Program, a training course for 4th to 8th graders focused on developing leadership skills in public service. The City Attorney shared with them his insight on leadership, government, and politics.
